Britney Spears Loses Visitation Indefinitely

by Jeanne Dupuis on January 15th, 2008

At a custody hearing yesterday, Britney Spears‘ rights were suspended indefinitely which I personally find very sad. It’s also unfortunate that, rather than attend the hearing, she fled to a church to pray. I don’t think she’s well and it’s really too bad that this has happened.

People reported the following:

“The word victory is not something that Mr. Federline or his counsel would ascribe to the results of the court,” Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told reporters after the ruling.

“There is no joyous feeling,” Kaplan added. “This is a grave situation for everybody. And while we believe Mr. Federline is pleased that the court did make an order that we feel is an appropriate, there is no joy in it for him.”

It’s also important to mention that some have been sensitive to how difficult it can be fore Britney to get around with the media tracking her every move.

“She was not ordered to be here today,” Court PIO Alan Perichini told reporters. “She was welcome to come. It was my understanding the Sheriff’s department did everything they could to facilitate her arrival.”

I think this is the right decision for her children right now.

What a horrible thing for everyone concerned to have to face. A little obscurity is exactly what Brit and her family need right now.

I agree. It saddens me that this family is already at a breaking point but the media just keeps pushing and pushing. Obscurity is exactly what’s needed.
