Janet Jackson Not Ready For Motherhood
Singer, Janet Jackson, has revealed that she isn’t ready for motherhood. The 41-year-old girlfriend of music producer Jermaine Dupri (and sister of Michael Jackson) said: “I get so much pressure from people I don’t even know and I think, ‘Am I missing the moment?’ You can have your eggs frozen. There are all sorts of things you can do these days.”
She also seems to be unready in the sense that, having started working at such a young age, she might be still doing some “youthful” things that she feels she missed out on:
“A lot of people who start work at a very young age never grow up because never got the opportunity to be a child. I think it’s fine never to grow up. I’ve got to get a little more kid out of me first before I move on and be childish with my child.”
The truth of it is that some people never have children and are okay with it. Becoming a mother is a highly personal decision and not everyone wants it. I hope Janet just sticks to whatever is right for her.
