Madonna Closer to Adopting David
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are a step closer to formally adopting little David Banda after the Malawian government said the couple are suitable parents.
“In the best interest of the child, I do recommend the petitioners to your lordship for your consideration that they be granted an adoption order having proved that they are suitable parents and satisfied the conditions in the interim adoption order,” an official report said.
Madonna is scheduled to appear in a Malawi court next week, although her legal team has applied to have this date pushed back due to her engagements in the United States.
David has been living with Madonna and Guy in their London home since she began adoption proceedings in 2006.
