The British Royal family are busy preparing for this weekend’s christening of James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor. He is the youngest child of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
The traditional ceremony will be held at the private chapel at Windsor Castle. The four-month-old baby will wear a brand new christening gown for the service, a replica of the one worn by the Queen and her children and grandchildren. This original satin gown from 1841 will be preserved for prosperity.
I just love all the pomp and ceremony that accompanies a royal celebration. I’m sure this christening will be beautiful!
