It’s Official: Madonna Adopts David Banda
Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie have been granted permanent custody of two-year-old David Banda.
She will no longer need to appear in a Malawi court after African authorities found David has grown into “a happy thriving toddler” under the couple’s care.
Madonna and Guy needed to show the Malawi government they could offer a safe home environment, protection, care, and emotional support. The adoption will be formalized on May 15.
Congratulations to the Ritchie family! David always looks happy whenever we see him, and I’m sure he’ll continue to be so under their care.
