Madonna’s Adoption of David Banda Official
After what seems like the lengthiest legal battle in history, Madonna’s adoption of Malawi boy David Banda has finally been approved by the courts.
“It’s a beautiful and positive judgement,” her lawyer Alan Chinula said outside the courthouse in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.
“Finally the court has granted Madonna full adoption rights of the boy … it’s all over, thank God.”
Alan hopes the ruling will help future adoptions in the country, which is one of the world’s poorest.
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie were not present for the judgment. A spokeswoman said Madonna has declined to make comment at this time. But we can only imagine how thrilled she must be!
