Steven Curtis Chapman has spoken out about his grief for the first time since the death of his daughter Maria Sue. The five-year-old was killed in May when an older sibling accidentally struck her with the family SUV.

“My son said the other day, ‘We are a family … of great faith. But we’re a family with a lot of questions.’ But that’s what faith is. It’s living with the questions. It doesn’t mean you have the answers,” the Christian singer said on Good Morning America.

Steve admitted one of his greatest challenges is mourning the loss of his daughter while consoling his remaining five children.

“While we are grieving … there is a hope that we’re anchored to, in the midst of just what sometimes seems unbearable.”

It’s such a terrible tragedy, I can’t imagine how you’d move on from it. It sounds like his family is doing as well as can be expected. My thoughts are with them. Click here to watch the complete interview!
