When Hugh Jackman left his handprints and footprints in the forecourt of Graumans Chinese Theater in Los Angeles yesterday, no one could be have been prouder than his family.

His wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their two children, Oscar and Ava, sat patiently through the ceremony, and then rushed to Hugh’s side when it was all over. Or to Hugh’s shoulder’s in Ava’s case!

Hugh Jackman took a walk to New York’s Hudson River yesterday with his whole family, including wife Deborra Lee Furness, three-year-old daughter Ava, eight-year-old son Oscar, his mother-in-law Fay, and a whole bunch of other relatives. Hugh gave Ava a ride on his shoulders as they posed for a family photo.

The family then visited a park, where boisterous Ava climbed trees and Oscar got up close and personal with some flowers! The fun-loving family also enjoyed a game of soccer.

Hugh Jackman showed he’s not afraid to be a little silly, giving his three-year-old daughter Ava an airplane ride in New York City yesterday.

It’s just that combination of superhero strength and fatherly fun that saw him voted the sexiest man alive!

He might be the sexiest man in the world to all of us but to three-year-old Ava, Hugh Jackman is just her silly dad. The Australian actor watched on as his youngest child played at a downtown New York playground yesterday.

Hugh caught his daughter’s toes as she played on the swings, and helped her navigate the slide.

Hugh and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness are also parents to eight-year-old Oscar Jackman.

Just call him Mr Mom! Aussie actor Hugh Jackman spent yesterday in New York City with his adopted children Oscar and Ava. The kids kept themselves amused with their favorite toys: eight-year-old Oscar rode a scooter while his three-year-old sister Ava clutched a baby doll.

Hugh Jackman may play a fearless drover in Australia, but in real life there’s one thing that always breaks his tough guy veneer: his love for his eight-year-old son Oscar and three-year-old daughter Ava.

“Frightening how in love with them you are. It’s hard to go away, hard to do things like this. You have those little flashes of them jumping into a road and you stop breathing.”

Hugh credits the “unconditional love” of his wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their two children with his success, adding that all the awards and accolades mean nothing without them.

“If your career is more important than them, you’re going to have hell,” he explained to Men’s Journal. “To feel at the end of the day that you haven’t done everything you could for your kids – none of it’s worth it.”

The gorgeous star adds that Oscar and Ava help him to keep it real.

“Everything is exposed with kids. There’s no artifice, because they see you for exactly what you are. You can’t pretend. Actors can fool people about the kind of person they are. You can wear whatever mask you want to put on. But it doesn’t work with kids, you know?…You see things get out of whack, out of balance, because they just mirror it back to you.”
