The Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney celebrated her baby shower at Los Angeles’ Treehouse Social Club on November 2.

The guests, including many of Alison’s Days of Our Lives costars, snacked on Sunflower Baking cookies and Crumbs cupcakes, and sipped on Bloom Tea and Izze drinks.

The second-time mom raked in the gifts, but there was a twist. She donated them all to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital!

“It seemed the perfect opportunity to do something good and have a good time, too,” Alison told Life & Style.

The event was hosted by the Hot Moms Club, sponsored by BabyPlus and Huggies, and decked out by decorator Jennifer Sibranti.

Alison and her husband David Sanoy expect a little sister for three-year-old son Benjamin on January 20.

While Alison loves having a little boy, she’s understandably excited about being mom to a girl this time around!

“I love decorating her room with all this great girlie stuff,” she said. “I’ll be honest, I’m very excited about buying a princess dress. And the lip gloss and nail polish - it’s going to be so cute!”

Unusual names like Honor and Apple are all the rage with celebrities, but don’t expect anything so outrageous from Alison.

“We’re very traditional,” she said. “We’re not at all interested in artsy, creative, trendy names.”

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has celebrated a Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower at the Hotel Bel Air with her family and closest friends. Some of the guests included big sis Jessica Simpson, Emmy Rossum, and Nicole Richie, who brought her nine-month-old daughter Harlow!

A source told People that Ashlee was “glowing and insanely happy.”

The guests enjoyed home-style Southern cooking including chicken and mashed potatoes. Yum! Ashlee received some great presents including gift bags from Kitson Kids and a mini Burton snowboard outfit and matching gear. I guess this baby will have to be a daredevil!

Angie Harmon celebrated her baby shower at her friend Jamie Tish’s house in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. She shared hosting duties with Jill Eistenstadt-Chayet. The 30 or so guests also included Amber Valletta, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Holly Robinson Peete, Meredith Salenger, Lori Loughlin, Julie Moran and Ming Na.

The guests obviously hadn’t had their fill of Halloween candy, because there was plenty of the sweet stuff around. They also enjoyed a cake from Sweet Lady Jane and champagne (none for Angie I’m sure!).

Hosts Jamie and Jill gave moving speeches, as did the guest of honor!

“It was very sweet and touching,” a guest told People magazine.

Angie and husband Jason Sehorn apparently know the gender of their baby, but they’re not letting anything slip. The unisex gifts they received included a Bebe au Lait nursing cover from Amber Valetta and a cute Caty the Caterpillar rocker from Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon.

All guests left with a little L’Occitane gift bag.

Mom-to-be Gena Lee Nolin celebrated her baby shower last Saturday in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The former Baywatch babe and her guests chowed down on chicken satay and a cupcake cake! She received gifts by My Blankee, Babystyle, and Wendy Bellissimo.

Gena Lee is expecting a daughter, who she plans to call Stella Monroe, in late October or early November. Gena Lee and her husband Cale Hulse also have a two-year-old son Hudson together. Gena Lee has a son Spencer from a previous relationship, while Cale is dad to daughter Caia.

Gena Lee told Life & Style that she’s excited to add her own daughter into the fold.

“I love my boys. They’re awesome. But having a little girl is going to be amazing!” she gushed.

Marisol Nichols celebrated her upcoming birth with a baby shower at her North Hollywood home on Saturday.

She was joined by 24 costar and new mom Mary Lynn Rajskub, along with other family and friends. It was a casual affair with classic BBQ food including cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, potato salad, and fresh watermelon.

But the main attraction was a cake designed by Dorie Kinney. Six large letter blocks spelled out the words “girl baby.” Each block was a different flavor: chocolate with fudge filling and tiny chocolate chips, white cake with raspberries, white cake with apricot white chocolate mousse, lemon cake with lemon curd, almond cake with peach amaretto filling and marble cake with white chocolate mousse. It all sounds so good!

Marisol and her husband Taron Lexton have narrowed it down to two baby names, but they won’t share them with us!

“We’re going to wait till we meet her and go, ‘There we go! That’s the name,” Marisol explained. “I’ve already sort of feel a personality there. She’ll tell me certain things, like [to] sit down if I’m moving too much. She’ll kick and it’ll hurt and I’ll sit down.”

With only seven weeks to go, Marisol admits she’s getting a little nervous.

“A little bit of panic mixed in with a lot of planning and a lot of getting ready. It’s literally an instant switch from single life to parenthood. I love it though. I’m really glad they give you nine months to get ready!”

Aren’t we all! Marisol is expecting her daughter on October 4.

Laila Ali is putting a modern twist on the baby shower, and planning a “baby celebration” instead.

“I don’t use the term ‘baby shower’ because there will not be a bunch of baby games and baby-themed center pieces like most traditional baby showers,” she said on her website. “Not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not my cup of tea.”

Instead she plans a party with family, friends, “great food and music.”

Laila is busy planning for the birth, but she said she’s finding it tricky due to all the baby products on the market!

“All the products claim to be the best, so it is hard to decide with confidence sometimes.”

However, the ex-boxer is sure about stocking up on some green goodies.

“I also plan to buy organic skin care products and flushable diapers. They may cost more but they are better for the baby and the earth.”

The American Gladiators host says she feels “blessed and lucky, because everything seems to be falling into place” leading up to her September due date.

Minnie Driver’s friends feasted on finger sandwiches and basil lemonade at her baby shower on Saturday, but the mom-to-be was “all about the cake.” But can you blame her? It was a Sweet Lady Jane berry cake which sounds utterly delicious!

Around 40 friends joined Minnie to celebrate. The guests hand-painted onesies and wrote their advice for the expectant mom in a keepsake book.

Minnie doesn’t want to know her baby’s gender just yet, so the pink and white peony decorations were no giveaway. She sat underneath the pretty blooms to open her gifts, which included many items from Gymboree’s new line.

Mary Lynn Rajskub and her partner Matthew Rolph celebrated their baby shower on Saturday. There was no mistaking the double act as they wore cute “mommy” and “daddy” ID tags!

BabyCenter hosted the event at the couple’s Californian home. Their guests enjoyed yummy comfort food like mac and cheese, pulled pork sandwiches, truffle fries, and mini turkey burgers. Sounds delicious!

The party wound down in the couple’s pool. What a great way to beat the heat!

Mary Lynn and Matthew’s first bub is due in July and will be a delivery surprise. They have painted their nursery in a neutral green and are “excited for the surprise. We only have one more ultrasound where we have to cover our eyes!”

Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio and her partner Jamie Mazur celebrated their baby shower in Los Angeles on Monday.

It was an intimate affair with family and close friends, including actress Tatiana Fontes, in attendance. They bought gifts topped with yellow, green, and pink ribbons. Does that mean a little girl is on the way?

The couple’s first baby is expected to arrive in late summer or early fall.

Jamie Lynn Spears spoke out in the latest issue of OK! magazine about her recent baby shower, her fiancé Casey Aldridge, and how they’re both dealing with her pregnancy. She also confirmed that she’s expecting a girl!

The pregnant teen she was thrilled by the outpouring of love and support she received at her recent baby shower. And the baby goodies weren’t bad either!

“I got adorable clothes. I registered for all the necessities. There is a certain type of bottle I use, Dr. Brown’s bottles. You need your travel set and your sling. I got a wonderful sling yesterday. It is adorable, and it will put a baby right to sleep,” she enthused.

She said she hasn’t settled on a baby name yet, adding “no one has given me any suggestions. I wish they would!”

While naming the unborn baby girl has proved frustrating, Jamie Lynn is really enjoying being pregnant.

“It’s when she kicks, when you know she’s there. When she kicks me, I love it. I want to squeeze her already. I do talk to her, you know, like all moms talk to their babies. I just tell her how much I love her.”

She’s also got a healthy attitude to her recent weight gain, which is so refreshing to hear from a young mom-to-be!

“I don’t know the exact amount [I've gained]. I’m sure it’s up in the 20s. I’m pretty normal, I think. It’s a beautiful thing. I’m not going to worry about gaining weight. I’m just trying to stay healthy. I’ve been liking chocolate milk a lot. I’ve been drinking a glass at least once a day. I had morning sickness for the first three months. I couldn’t eat so I didn’t gain any weight in the beginning. I was sick all the time. Now, I feel great!”

Despite criticism of their relationship, Jamie Lynn says she’s very happy with fiancé Casey Aldridge.

“He has always been there for me. I’ve known him forever. Anytime I need anything, it doesn’t matter where we are or where we’re going, he’s the first one to take care of it. He’s asking me every five seconds how I’m doing. He just cares about me and has really been there for me. That’s what has made me so relaxed through it all because he’s relaxed about it.”

I don’t know about you, but I really liked reading that. This poor kid has copped so much flak for her pregnancy, but I really believe she’s doing the best she can. I love her sunny attitude!
