Billy Joel Makes Divorce Easier on Christie Brinkley

Divorce is never a fun period in anyone’s life, and Christie Brinkley’s split from ex-husband Peter Cook was messier than most.
But despite the difficulties, Christie enjoyed some unexpected support from previous ex-husband, Billy Joel!
“Billy’s great,” Christie told Ladies Home Journal.
“He’s godfather to Jack (14) and Sailor (10), and you know there have been times when I have had to spend time with lawyers or whatever and he’s babysat. He lives nearby, so he’s like, ‘Send ‘em over here!’”
How wonderful that they can still work together for the benefit of the kids despite their history. Plenty of other divorced couples could learn a lot from their example!

Christie Brinkley Goes Surfing

Now that the nasty mess of her divorce is behind her Christie Brinkley is focusing on what she does best: being a mom! She told People that spending time with 13-year-old Jack Paris and 10-year-old Sailor Lee is helping her get through this difficult time.
“My kids are so much fun to be around and summertime is such a fun time to be with family,” she said.
Christie’s even rediscovering some old hobbies!
“This summer, my son is really into surfing. So I’ve dusted off my old surfboard. And I’m out there with him. I’m mainly getting beat up. Paddling out, when you’ve got a big set coming, your arms feel like rubber. But you know you’re going to get clobbered if you don’t keep going.”
Good on her! She sounds like such a fun mom!

Ever wondered how 54-year-old Christie Brinkley keeps looking so good? The secret could be Dance Dance Revolution. Apparently Christie and her nine-year-old daughter Sailor Lee are completely addicted to the Xbox 360 game.
“We were literally doing it for like five hours, we couldn’t stop,” Christie told People. “She sent me a little text from the living room saying, ‘Mommy, thank you so much for that cool, cool Xbox. You’re good at it, you’ve got the moves.’”
The thought of Christie and Sailor busting a move together is just too adorable! Christie recently promoted the game at Harlem’s National Family Fitness Day.
