Christina Aguilera Looks Forward to Baby Number 2!

December 28, 2008 by lkatulka

Max Liron Bratman is not yet one year old, but already his mom Christina Aguilera is looking forward to her next child! No she’s not announcing a new pregnancy just yet, but the way she’s talking it might be too far off!

It seems the source of all these maternal feelings is Christina’s husband Jordan Bratman!

“I think Jordan is such an incredible father and, you know, whether or not anything would ever happen to us, I know that he would still always be very much a part of Max’s life.”

She adds that Max’s birth has only strengthened her marriage, adding that her “little one” is “a constant reminder” of their love for one another. Awww!

“It’s … also a work in progress because you’re constantly growing as people. It can be very challenging. It can be incredible and exciting. I got lucky. I have a great husband - he’s really supportive and, ah, I look forward to the next [baby].”

So do we Christina!

Britney Spears, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera says she looks to fellow musical mom Madonna for inspiration when balancing her family life and her career.

“She’s a mom of three and still doing it, on tour. I’m having trouble gearing up for my tour just thinking about how it’s going to be for Max, but we’re a traveling family and that’s just the way it’s going to be.”

Max Liron is 11 months next week, and he could become a big brother sooner rather than later!

“We definitely want to have another child,” the singer told OK! magazine.

Max Liron is the first child for Christina and her husband Jordan Bratman.

Christina Aguilera Stays True to Herself

Grammy Nominations Concert in Los Angeles

Christina Aguilera might be a megastar, but she said she still faces the same “balancing act” any working mom does. With her son Max Liron Bratman almost one, it’s becoming even harder!

“It’s a tough thing,” the pop star admitted on the Grammy Nominations red carpet. “He puts his arms up and everything. I had a moment leaving him today to get ready for tonight of missing him, but every working mom goes through it … they know what it feels like.”

But Christina knows she has to keep on balancing, because her career is so important for her personal happiness.

“I wasn’t going to give up who I was before I had the baby. It’s important to stay true to that as an example - also for my son to find out what his goals are, what he’s passionate about doing, so it’s sort of leading by example in that sense.”

With their babies born just a day apart, it makes sense that songbird Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie would become fast friends. A mutual pair introduced the moms and the rest is history.

Christina says she is “blown away with how great of a mom she [Nicole] is” to 10-month-old Harlow Madden.

“I actually ask her for advice because she has a lot of great things that she does for her little one. She’s even a little more stricter with battery operated toys and what not, she’s a great woman.”

It won’t be too long until Max Liron Bratman is getting around on his own. Christina Aguilera says her son is “a mover and shaker” who is “so close” to walking!

Ten-month-old Max “is constantly moving, constantly banging on things,” leading Christina to wonder whether she’s passed on some musical genes!

“I don’t know what that means; maybe he is a drummer in the making, I don’t know.”

With Christmas just a month away, Christina is anticipating spending the holiday with her son for the first time.

“Holidays are huge to me, so I am really looking forward to spending the holidays with my family and being able to appreciate the fact that it is my son’s first Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

She also can’t wait to share all that food! Christina doesn’t cook any herself, but she says that’s her next goal.

“My mom loves to cook really southern, good, buttery, salty, delicious, bad-for-your-arteries kind of food, but it is amazing, and I hope to be a cook like that someday because one thing that I look forward to whenever I do go home is tasting my mom’s home cooking,” she reveals. “I want to do the same for Max. Cooking is my next goal in life to achieve.”

In the latest issue of People magazine, Christina Aguilera revealed she’s hoping to extend her family. And it could happen sooner rather than later!

“I honestly can’t wait for the next one! I do want more kids, and I want them to be close in age, at least the first two. I don’t know [how many total]; I don’t want to plan that too in-depth, so we’ll see what happens.”

But for now Christina’s busy with her 10-month-old son Max Liron, who seems to have inherited his mom’s love of music!

“He bangs on everything like a drummer! He’s definitely got the music gene.”

Christina Aguilera Stays Sexy

Christina Aguilera might be a mom now, but she has no intention of toning down her signature sexy style.

“It is important to show Max what mommy does,” Christina told Metro. “It is really important to me is that he is an individual and that’s why it is important for me to stay true to myself. If it happens to be raunchy so be it! It’s a matter of self expression to me.”

She’ll return to the stage on Thursday as the headline act at the Africa Rising Festival at London’s Royal Albert Hall. She looks as smoking as she did before giving birth to her son, but she’s not sure she’s got the same endurance that she used to!

“I am not a fan of working out whatsoever [and] I am building up my stamina as we speak,” she said. “It’s been a while since I have put on such a long show and since having a baby.”

I wish her the best of luck!

Stars Spill Their Kids’ Favorite Songs

September 6, 2008 by lkatulka

'Wetten, dass..?' in Basel

It was only last week that I was reminiscing with friends about the songs I used to listen to as a child. We didn’t have The Wiggles in my day, so my Dad used to play me “House on Pooh Corner” by Loggins and Messina and “Alexander Beetle” by Melanie Safka.

So I was thrilled to see some of my favorite celebrity moms and dads have shared their kids’ top tunes with People magazine.

  • Melissa Etheridge’s kids Bailey, Beckett, and twins Johnnie Rose and Miller Steven have grown up around music their entire lives. They love “Common Threads” by Bobby McFerrin, Sarah McLachlan’s version of “Rainbow Connection,” “When it Don’t Come Easy” by Patty Griffin, and even a song by their mom, “Message to Myself.” “Really, it’s their fave!” Melissa insists.
  • Joey McIntyre and his nine-year-old-son Griffin Thomas enjoy “Goodspeed (Sweet Dreams)” by the Dixie Chicks and “Your Song” by Elton John.
  • Max Liron may be just eight months, but Christina Aguilera’s son already has some great music taste. His favorites include “Jamming” by Bob Marley, “Stay Awake” by Julie Andrews and funnily enough, “Relax Max” by Dinah Washington.
  • Harlow Winter Kate, the daughter of Nicole Richie and and Joel Madden, loves the classics. Her top picks include “Für Elise” by Ludwig van Beethoven and “Wild World” by Cat Stevens.
  • Anthony Keidis’ son Everly Bear rocks just like his dad! His favorite songs include “Spaceship” by Sean Lennon and “Master of Puppets” by Metallica.
  • River Samuel, the two-year-old son of Taylor Hanson, loves a bit of everything. His eclectic picks include everything from Believer by Ben Kweller to Black or White by Michael Jackson. Apparently “listening to that [song] is when he really busts a move.”
  • Wyatt Steven’s favorite song is naturally one his mother Sheryl Crow wrote called “Song for Wyatt.” He also can’t resist “Elmo’s Song!”

I’d love to know, what songs do your kids love? And what did you listen to when you were little?

Christina Aguilera cradled her son Max Liron as she stepped out with husband Jordan Bratman in Manhattan yesterday. They were heading out for dinner, but Christina was still happy to stop and sign autographs for waiting fans. Max is so much bigger than the last time I saw him! What a cutie!
