February 17, 2009 by lkatulka

Life’s too short for couting calories. Just ask new mom Angie Harmon! After giving birth to daughter Emery eight weeks ago, Angie finds she’s always hungry!
“Right now, I’m literally eating every piece of meat that I see,” she said. “I have a hamburger at lunch, and I make pot roast, anything with meat in it.”
That might make us a little jealous that she’s managed to shed the kilos. Just look at this photo of her at last week’s Unforgettable Evening fundraiser for women’s cancer research! Angie insists a combination of breastfeeding a good genes has helped her return to her pre-baby weight.
“I mean, genetically, I’m a skinny girl so it’s not hard for me.”
Try not to get too jealous ladies! Angie and her husband Jason Sehorn are also parents to Finley Faith, 5, and Avery Grace, 3.

Mariska Hargitay Shares Yummy Mummy Body Secrets
October 28, 2008 by lkatulka
She only became a mother two years ago, but already Mariska Hargitay can’t imagine life without her son August. The little boy who she says is “all light” brings the same happiness to his famous mother’s life.
“You look at babies and they’re full of joy. It’s a pure state, a place that can inform every part of your life. What is life without it,” she mused in a recent interview with SELF magazine.
Mariska always looks gorgeous, but she insists it was a desire to keep up with her son - not vanity - that inspired her to shed the baby weight.
“It’s not about being fat or thin. I’m a full-figured woman. It’s about how am I going to keep up my energy,” she explained.
So how does she do it? For the most part she avoids “sugar, yeast, and wine.” The latter is a weakness Mariska calls her “mack truck,” yet she knows she could never “give up wine for life.”
“Everything in moderation,” is Mariska’s philosophy, and it seems to be working for her!
“If I’m supporting myself, I’m supporting my kid. If I’m happy and healthy, I can be a better wife and mom, I can do a better job.”
But diet isn’t the only key to Mariska’s fantastic bod. She also enjoys 30-minute jogs an weekend sessions with a personal trainer while Law & Order: SVU is on hiatus.
She might be 44, but Mariska hasn’t ruled out expanding her family with husband Peter Hermann.
“It’s hard. I think a lot of it is up to God and nature and we’ll see what happens,” said Mariska, adding that she’d “definitely … love to” adopt one day.
I’m sure August would love a little brother or sister too!

Apparently Jessica Alba is doing some serious nesting. She’s still got a month or more until her daughter arrives, but the Hollywood hottie is working hard to prepare for the little one’s arrival.
“I’m just trying to get my house ready before the baby comes. It’s kind of hectic, it’s getting close and the house isn’t even ready yet,” she told People at Wednesday’s Healthy Child Healthy World book party.
“I’m used to having to be somewhere all the time, and it’s kind of the first time in my life where I really haven’t been working in a while, and now it’s just about the baby being healthy, the house being ready, and nesting, it’s really different,” she said. “It’s cool - I feel like I’m fully absorbing the whole experience.”
Jess is also making sure she’s eating the right food, and plenty of it!
“I have to make sure that I’m eating more of the right nutrients and vitamins, but I’m not used to eating this much. I’ve had to take time out of the day to eat before I get cranky and rundown and tired. Before I was just like the Energizer Bunny.”
It sounds like Jess is really embracing her pregnancy! She sounds so excited to be becoming a mom!
