Emma Bunton Gushes About Son Beau Lee

January 27, 2009 by lkatulka

Emma Bunton’s life was changed 17 months ago when she welcomed her first child, Beau Lee. But the former Spice Girl doesn’t mind at all!

“My whole focus is on my little boy. He is the best thing I’ve ever done. He’s just wonderful, and whatever I can do, I want him to be as healthy as possible,” Emma told Metro.

Emma might be concentrating on her little boy right now, but she’d love to add to her brood in the future!

“I’m just really enjoying this time with Beau at the moment, but yeah, I’d love to have another one. Absolutely.”

With another baby off the agenda for a while, Emma is incredibly excited about the birth of former bandmate Melanie Chisholm’s first child.

“I saw her over Christmas and she’s just wonderful and being on tour with all us girls having all our children with us obviously gave her a bit of a push in the right direction! But she’s going to be so amazing.”

Emma Bunton Takes Her Time to Lose Baby Weight

January 16, 2009 by lkatulka

It seems like so many celebrity moms lose their pregnancy weight in an instant, but not Emma Bunton. The former Spice Girl took a slow and steady approach, taking a year to fit into her old jeans.

“I went to the gym two or three times a week and ate healthily. I breastfed so you can’t go on stupid diets,” she said.

Emma maintains her current weight by doing a little exercise and eating sensibly.

“I go for a run or take our dogs for a walk, and I’m almost enjoying it,” she told Daily Mail. “It’s got to be about balance though, being healthy but not letting it rule your life.”

After all, Emma needs to have some time to be a mom to 17-month-old Beau Lee!

“Beau is my all, my life and the reason I’m happier than ever. I’m enjoying being a mummy most of all, he’s so gorgeous.”

With the genes of Emma and her partner Jade Jones, was there ever a doubt?

Emma Bunton’s Post-Baby Body

July 3, 2008 by lkatulka

All new moms find it hard to return to work: even the stars. Emma Bunton told The Daily Mail that while she had a “great time” on the recent Spice Girls tour, it was tough to keep up after the birth of her son Beau Lee.

“It’s tough for any woman returning to work straight after having a baby. I didn’t want to be in the gym 24 hours a day, instead of being with Beau. And I wanted to breastfeed for the first couple of months,” she explained.

She got stage-ready by doing plenty of walking, but said it still took time before she felt comfortable flaunting her postpartum figure on stage.

“One night, I was up on stage and it just hit me: Hold on, Emma, everyone knows you’ve just had a baby, enjoy it.”
