Brad Pitt Talks Twins and Travel

Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Arrive In Japan

One might think adding twins to an already crowded family would be a daunting prospect, but Brad Pitt insists that his newest children, six-month-old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline bring “double the fun.:

“We were four [children] before, and we got into our rhythms and it worked. Then someone new comes in, and it discombobulates the movements for a moment, but then you settle in again and it just all works,” Brad explained to The Telegraph. “Everyone’s pretty well integrated. It’s not the first time new kids have come in.”

Brad says he’s surprised “how soon their personalities have started emerging,” but it’s little wonder with the strong spirits of their siblings Maddox Chivan, 7, Pax Thien, 5, Zahara Marley, 4 and Shiloh Nouvel, 2 ½!

“It’s chaos at times, but there’s such joy in the house,” Brad gushed. “I look and there’s our boy from Vietnam and our daughter from Ethiopia, and our girl was born in Namibia, and our son is from Cambodia, and they’re brothers and sisters, man. They’re brothers and sisters and it’s a sight for elation.”

In fact, the couple are so elated they “haven’t found any reason to stop” having kids! “We have the capability to give a child a home, and let me tell you it’s selfish, too, because the reward has been extraordinary.” Does that mean there might be another little Jolie-Pitt baby on the horizon?

We saw Brad and his “very nomadic family” touch down in Japan earlier this week. They’ve also recently visited France, Germany, and the United States to promote Brad’s new film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and mom Angelina Jolie’s movie Changeling. It might be tiring, but Brad insists the travel is good for everyone.

“The value of it is that the family becomes the core, and the kids may not understand the places they see at this early age, but I know it’s seeping into their consciousness,” he said.

“We move quite well, and I don’t think it’s taking its toll. We have to think about schooling, though, and we’re in an international program, so wherever we go it’s the same curriculum.”

Now that he’s a little older and wiser, with a young family to consider, Brad says he’s more discriminating in the roles he takes.

“To me, it’s about the value of your time and your day and the value of the people you spend it with,” he explained. “It’s about me being a strong father and guide and a good match for my significant other. Then, if I’m going to go to work, it must be something of value to me.

“I’m much more experienced now, so I can find films that are interesting quicker and cut out the films that don’t really matter. It means more to me now because my kids are going to see them, and I want them to be proud.”

I’m sure they will be!

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and All Those Kids Arrive in Japan

January 28, 2009 by lkatulka

The entire Jolie-Pitt clan touched down at Narita International Airport in Japan yesterday. Angelina Jolie strapped six-month-old daughter Vivienne Marcheline to her chest while her brother Knox Leon clung up his daddy Brad Pitt. I love their matching hats. The twins arrived with their siblings Maddox, Zahara, Pax, and Shiloh rounded out the group.

The glamorous family were in town to promote Brad’s film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Angelina’s hit flick The Changling.

The kids seem to be taking all the traveling in their stride. In the last two weeks they’ve been to Paris, Germany, Los Angeles, and now Tokyo!

Mark-Paul Gosselar Puts Family First

2008 Summer TCA Tour - Turner Party

As a teen sensation, you’d assume Mark-Paul Gosselaar had to grow up pretty quickly. But the former Saved by the Bell actor admits it wasn’t until his four-year-old son Michael and two-year-old daughter Ava entered his life that he really matured.

Mark-Paul says his family “always comes first,” even before his career.

“Having children has made me mature in ways that I think are positive to my career and yes, my family does affect the type of work that I accept. Mainly with traveling. If a show were to be filmed in another state other than California, I would have to make a very educated decision regarding it.”

Luckily Mark-Paul is happily filming the TNT series Raising the Bar, so he doesn’t need to think about traveling any time soon!

Steven Curtis Chapman Talks About Grief

August 7, 2008 by lkatulka

Steven Curtis Chapman

Steven Curtis Chapman has spoken out about his grief for the first time since the death of his daughter Maria Sue. The five-year-old was killed in May when an older sibling accidentally struck her with the family SUV.

“My son said the other day, ‘We are a family … of great faith. But we’re a family with a lot of questions.’ But that’s what faith is. It’s living with the questions. It doesn’t mean you have the answers,” the Christian singer said on Good Morning America.

Steve admitted one of his greatest challenges is mourning the loss of his daughter while consoling his remaining five children.

“While we are grieving … there is a hope that we’re anchored to, in the midst of just what sometimes seems unbearable.”

It’s such a terrible tragedy, I can’t imagine how you’d move on from it. It sounds like his family is doing as well as can be expected. My thoughts are with them. Click here to watch the complete interview!

Here’s the news you’ve all been waiting for: word from Jessica Alba’s family about her new bub!

Jessica’s dad Mark Alba flew from Florida to California to be present at the birth of his first granddaughter. He told E Online he “really choked up.” While he was present at the birth of his son Josh’s first baby, he added “somehow, this was different.

“I never thought that I would cry so much. The fact that this little girl came out of my daughter’s stomach, it blows my mind,” he gushed.

Like any proud papa he thought Jessica was the prettiest baby he’d ever seen, but all that changed when he met Honor!

But the new grandfather isn’t the only one doting on baby Honor. First time uncle Josh Alba is also tickled with the new arrival, who he calls “gorgeous.” He revealed Jessica took the “all natural” childbirth route. She’s one tough cookie!

Josh says Honor “looks just like my sister,” and the rest of the Alba clan agrees.

“She looks like Jessica when she was a baby,” said Mark who said the newborn has “Jessica’s complexion, her hair, her eyes.” She should be an absolute stunner then!

Mark and Josh say Jessica and Cash are now resting at home with their precious new daughter. She has a “wonderful nanny, and her mother will be there to help her,” as she begins this exciting new chapter.
