Ingo Rademacher Explains Baby Name

July 22, 2008 by lkatulka

Ingo RademacherIt seems I wasn’t the only one who hated Ingo Radamacher and his fiancée Ehiku’s baby name of choice! The General Hospital actor has spoken up in defense of little Peanut Kai.

“We were calling him that when he was in mommy,” Ingo told People. “It kind of represented joy and happiness to us. It puts a smile on everyone’s face.”

The more conventional choice of Kai means “water” Hawaiian, and pays homage to his mommy’s heritage.

Ingo told the magazine he helped a midwife deliver his son at his Malibu home.

“We were set on home birth right away. A hospital was not a place we wanted to be.”

Peanut Kai is the first child for Ingo and Ehiku. They plan to marry in Hawaii next year.

July 16, 2008 by lkatulka

Ingo RademacherGeneral Hospital star Ingo Rademacher is the latest celebrity dad, after his fiancée Ehiku gave birth to a son on Friday July 11. Peanut Kai Rademacher weighed 7 lb. 6 oz. and measured 20.5 inches.

“Dad, Mom and baby are all great,” a spokesperson for General Hospital told Soap Opera Digest.

“The cast and crew of General Hospital are very excited for Ingo, Ehiku and the entire Rademacher family. We wish them all the best during this important milestone.”

Yes it’s all happy news and I wish them all the best … but Peanut? I know we’ve had some terrible celebrity baby names but that’s one an absolute shocker!
