Britney’s Spears has “Innocent” Sons
November 26, 2008 by lkatulka
It’s been a big year for Britney Spears, but her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James have helped her get through.
“Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they’re such special people,” she told Rolling Stone.
Britney also can’t believe how fast her sons, now three and two, are growing. But collecting them from preschool gives her a reality check.
“I went there to pick them up on Friday, and seeing them in their little classroom and seeing Jayden being bad or not listening? It’s like, those are mine, and it’s just crazy, you know what I mean? And the things that are coming out of their mouths right now - they’re learning so much, and it’s new, and you never know what they’re going to say, and they’re so smart yet so innocent.”
Hopefully these boys stay innocent a little longer than Ms Spears did!

Britney Spears and Boys in OK!
August 14, 2008 by lkatulka

Britney Spears has definitely turned a corner if the happy snap on the cover of this week’s OK! magazine is any indication. Britney say down with the magazine to talk about parenthood and her hopes for sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
After a lengthy custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Britney is now enjoying two daytime visits and one overnight stay with her sons each week. So what is a normal visit like?
“I’ll get up and make them pancakes. Plain pancakes, with sausages. Then we’ll go outside and take a walk. Then I like to do something physical with them, like swimming. Nap time is 1-3 p.m., and then I’ll read to them. The Berenstain Bears books, and anything with cars in it, too,” she said.
After her own troubled time in the spotlight, it’s not surprising that Britney would prefer her sons pursue a career away from the limelight.
“If they want to do it, and if they are talented enough, I would support them. But they’d have to express an interest on their own,” she explains. “I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.”

The custody battle between Kevin Federline and Britney Spears has ended, with Kevin being awarded sole custody of their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
“All parties have agreed to the following: Kevin will retain sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James,” Kevin’s lawyer Vince Kaplan told OK! magazine.
“Britney will continue to have visitation rights which may increase over time. The agreement will be presented to the court in the morning for approval by the commissioner.
“Kevin is ecstatic and the boys are thriving.”
If it’s as amicable as the media’s making it out to be, it can only be a good thing for the legal battle to be over. Maybe now both Kevin and Britney can get back to focusing on their sons and leave this ugly mess behind them.

How’s this for a role reversal? This weekend Kevin Federline partied in Miami Beach while ex-wife Britney Spears stayed home with the kids!
Britney had a 12-hour overnight visit with her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, her first overnight stay since she lost visitation rights in January.
“The kids were picked up before noon on Sunday,” a source told E! News.
It must be such a joy for Britney to spend this time with the boys. I hope she continues to improve and play an integral part in her sons’ lives!

Britney Spears has been awarded overnight visits with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, following a court ruling in Los Angeles yesterday.
Brits hasn’t been allowed to have her children stay overnight since she was hospitalized on January 3. However, after hearing glowing reports from her parenting coach, the judge ruled that “progress is being made by both parties.”
And doesn’t she look happy about it? Britney and ex-husband Kevin Federline are scheduled to appear in court again on July 15.

Supernanny to Britney’s Rescue
May 31, 2008 by lkatulka
Britney Spears isn’t exactly going win any
mother of the year awards, but all that could change soon. Supernanny star Jo Frost wants to help the troubled pop star, and mother of Sean Preston and Jayden James, get back on her feet.
“I do believe she loves her children very much and I’d be more than happy to help her, to be able to put her on the right track and feel more empowerment as a parent,” Jo Frost told Entertainment Tonight.
Jo added that Britney needs to improve her own self esteem before she can be a good mother to her boys.
“Importance in motherhood is about really relating to other mothers, being able to have support groups and it’s about Britney being in a place where she’s feeling secure and confident in herself, so that she is able to take care of her little ones and give them what they need from her, which is their mother around,” she explained.
All makes sense to me! Britney seems to be doing well now, but bringing in an expert like Jo Frost certainly can’t hurt!

Britney Spears Gets Extended Visitation
May 7, 2008 by lkatulka

Things are looking up for Britney Spears, after a Los Angeles court ruled yesterday that the pop star can spend more time with her children Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Britney didn’t speak to the media as she left court, but she appeared to be in good spirits.
Kevin Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan was a little more forthcoming with details. He confirmed that Britney now has greater visitation rights, but said it’s unclear how much more time she will spend with her children.
“We are pleased with the progress that seems to be occurring,” he told reporters. “It’s a cautious step but a step nonetheless. The [visitation] modifications will be phased in [in] the near future.”
He added that Kevin hopes for “two parents participating actively” in the boys’ lives.
“We are so pleased with Britney’s progress and we are very pleased with the court’s recognition of this progress,” Britney’s parents Jamie and Lynne said in a statement.
This is really encouraging news. Britney certainly seems to have turned things around, so hopefully she can keep it up for the sake of little Sean and Jayden!
