Keith Urban’s Kid-Friendly Tour Bus

April 15, 2009 by lkatulka

The Keith Urban tour bus has had a few modifications recently. Since welcoming his daughter Sunday Rose last July, the Australian country star can’t bear to be apart from his little girl, or wife Nicole Kidman. So they can spend time together while Keith travels the United States, his rig needed a family-friendly makeover.

“Everything has changed since I became a parent. It’s even harder to be away for any length of time and I have found myself thinking of things I have never had to consider before,” he said.

“I’m touring at the moment and this time I have made a point of making provision on the bus so Nic and the baby can come and spend some time with me.”

Aww, what a guy! Keith is currently touring to support his number one album, Defying Gravity.

Sunday Rose and Tennyson Crowe Engaged!

September 28, 2008 by lkatulka

Russell Crowe and Tennyson

Could love be in the air for Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Tennyson Crowe? Sure Sunday’s just 12 weeks old and Tennyson’s only two, but their parents are already matchmaking!

“Nicole had one look at my younger son Tennyson and looked up at me and said ‘I’m a great believer in arranged marriages,’” Russell Crowe told The Sunday Telegraph.

He added that Tennyson and Sunday share the same birthday, so perhaps it’s in the stars!

“I believe she made the connection between Sunday and Tennyson now - so Tennyson is already engaged.”

The tot could certainly do worse than Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s bub, who Russell says is “a beautiful child with beutiful, delicate features.”

That’d be some Aussie power couple!

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Take Sunday Down Under

August 7, 2008 by lkatulka

Nicole Kidman has pleaded for privacy on her first visit to Sydney since giving birth last month. Nic touched down in Sydney last night with husband Keith Urban and newborn daughter Sunday Rose.

“Keith and I are both appealing to the press and stuff just to give us a little space so we can walk around Sydney and show the baby our town,” Nicole said in a radio interview this morning.

“She’s tiny. She’s like a doll, she’s like a little, little thing. Just [don't photograph] right in her face or in our faces because it’s scary for her.”

“I get it. I get the interest there is,” added daddy Keith Urban. “But at the same time it’s our little girl. Sometimes when people come right up in your face and you think: ‘Good God, would you do that to anybody else’s child?’ That’s all.”

We’re all desperate for a photo of little Sunday so we can see her for ourselves, but her proud parents have revealed a few details about her appearance.

Nicole said her daughter looks just like her father, with a “bit of a reddish tint” to her hair. How cute!

Keith also said being a dad was an “awesome” feeling.

“Anybody out there who’s got kids [knows] it’s just a certain kind of feeling that you can only experience when you do it,” he said. “I’m not looking forward to having to go on tour and having to leave.”

Nicole also gave a little insight into her labor, adding that the presence of family made her delivery a little easier.

“They say a lot of it has to do with how your sister and your mother gave birth, so luckily my sister’s had four children … and that was pretty easy for her too,” she said.

“My mum was a nurse too and also she’s a midwife so we were surrounded … but we also had wonderful nurses at the hospital.”

Nicole and Keith will spend their time in Australia with family, although it’s not just a pleasure trip. Nic will soon be back on set to shoot the final scenes for her upcoming movie Australia.

Keith Urban Thanks Fans

July 19, 2008 by lkatulka

Musician Keith Urban told fans on his website that he’s been “overwhelmed” with the support he and wife Nicole Kidman have received since welcoming their daughter Sunday Rose. He issued the following statement to thank everyone for their kindness.

“It’s been 10 days since the birth of our beautiful new daughter, Sunday Rose, and like any of you who are parents yourselves, we’re experiencing the pure bliss of welcoming her into our lives. We’re all doing superbly well and we continue to be absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and well wishes we are receiving. Thank you all for your beautiful notes and prayers. I can’t wait for Saturday night’s stadium show in Philadelphia, my first gig as a father! See you there. Love, Keith.”

Doesn’t he just sound blissful? It’s so wonderful to read!

“Beautiful” Sunday Rose

July 11, 2008 by lkatulka

New parents Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are head over heels in love with their newborn daughter Sunday Rose.

“We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl,” the Aussie glamour couple told People magazine. “She’s an absolute delight.”

Nicole Kidman’s mother Janelle and sister Antonia are currently staying with Keith, Nicole and baby Sunday in Nashville.
The Aussie glamour couple are planning to return to Australia later this month to show off Sunday to her grandfather Antony Kidman and the Urban clan. They are also reportedly considering a Sydney baptism for their new daughter.

Nicole and Keith have been congratulated by Nicole’s ex-husband Tom Cruise, who apparently sent a “room full of flowers.” Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd also offered his congratulations in a hand-written note.

Antony Kidman Reveal Story Behind Sunday

July 9, 2008 by lkatulka

If you were wondering why Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban settled on the unusual name Sunday, wonder no longer. Nicole’s father Antony shed some light on the unique choice.

He said the name was inspired by Sunday Reed, an Australian arts patron from the 1930s. The original Sunday was also the muse of popular Aussie artist Sidney Nolan.

Antony said he told his daughter about the name, and she fell in love with it.

Nicole has checked out of the Nashville Hospital, strengthening media reports that she had a natural birth.

She is said to be resting in her $4 million dollar home outside Nashville. However some suggest the couple will return to Australia in the next few weeks to spend time with family and friends.

Chris Martin Defends Unusual Baby Names

July 9, 2008 by lkatulka

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s choice of Sunday for their daughter has everyone talking, but they have at least one celebrity supporter. Chris Martin set the bar for unusual names when he called his daughter Apple, and he has spoken out to defend Nicole and Keith.

“People make a big fuss over names,” Martin said in an interview with America’s Blender magazine.

“Names of babies, names of albums, names of bands. There’s nothing weird about calling your baby Chewbacca if that’s what you want to call your baby. It’s no stranger than Sarah.

“A name is just a noise, and if you like it, then f— what everyone else says.”

I don’t know. I think if they’d settled on Chewbacca the kid would have every right to complain loudly!

Keith Urban Dedicates Song to Nicole

July 7, 2008 by lkatulka

Keith Urban’s Saturday night concert in Nashville was an extra special one for his pregnant wife Nicole Kidman. The sexy country star made sure everyone knew he was expecting his first child this month when he dedicated his song “Better Half” to his “very, very, very, very, very pregnant wife!”

She enjoyed the song from side of stage. What a lucky girl! My husband and I cut our wedding cake to that song - I can imagine it’d be even more romantic to have the singer singing it just for you!

Keith also proudly showed off his latest tattoo: the name of his darling wife!
