Volleyball Stars Welcome a Son

Volleyball glamor couple Kerri Walsh and Casey Jennings have become first time parents! Kerri gave birth to a son, Joseph Michael Jennings, on Friday May 22 in Los Angeles.
“We could not be more thrilled to welcome Joseph into the world,” Kerri told People.
“It’s the most incredible feeling. We are already so in love with him and it’s such an amazing, special moment for our family.”
Joseph tipped the scales at a healthy 8 lbs., 10 oz. Mom and baby are resting comfortably.

American Volleyball Stars Look Forward to Motherhood

Beach volleyball stars Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh are currently busy in Beijing, but once the Olympics are behind them this dynamic duo is prepared for their next challenge: motherhood!
“Hopefully, we’ll both be pregnant,” Kerri told the LA Times when asked where she sees the duo at this time next year, “pregnant, but with two gold medals.”
Misty added that they both hope to return to the beach volleyball circuit after their maternity leave, but they admit they might change their minds.
“I don’t want to throw the R-word in there, but I mean, I haven’t had a kid, I don’t know,” Misty explained.
“Priorities change, and it’s tough what we do, traveling internationally and domestically, and if I feel like I can come back two years down the road or whatever and want to give it a go, great.”
