Who needs a shopping cart when you’ve got a stroller? New mom Naomi Watts left little Samuel at home and stepped out with her big boys in New York City yesterday.

With one-year-old Alexander happy to sit in daddy Liev Schreiber’s arms, the stroller was free to carry the family’s Whole Foods groceries. They also stopped out for lunch before returning home.

When Naomi Watts appeared on Ellen this Wednesday, she couldn’t stop gushing about the boys in her life: partner Liev Schreiber and sons Alexander, 18 months, and Samuel, 9 weeks.

She said her eldest is struggling to adjust to his new big brother status, and is especially demanding when little Sammy’s being fed!

“He’s like ‘Hey, what about me? Give me a bottle,’” she laughed.

Naomi also bemoaned her lack of sleep, whining that she’s “feeding all through the night.”

Naomi Watts took a break from filming her latest movie Mother and Child yesterday to spend time with her own little one, 18-month-old Alexander “Sasha” Schreiber.

Don’t think the Aussie actress is letting herself go. The unflattering blue bathrobe was part of her costume. She’s not letting the dowdy attire bother her as she pushed Sasha on the swings. And he’s too little to be embarrassed by his mommy’s dress!

In between bike rides with her newbown son, Naomi Watts is supposed to be out promoting her new film The International. But it’s clear that she’s only got babies on the brain! But with 18-month-old Alexander and seven-week-old Samuel at home, who can blame her?

In a new interview Naomi laughs that they’re at the “period where I’m chasing my toddler whilst feeding my baby. You’re nursing and watching your toddler climbing up on a chair or about to pull himself down on to something and it’s pretty nerve-racking.”

Things might be a little hectic now, but Naomi Watts is keen to bring another baby into the mix!

“I look at this little baby and even after quite an intense birth — they say you have amnesia as women — I would go a third. It would be nice to have a girl,” says the actress.

But first Naomi must convince her partner Liev Schreiber!

“It’s pretty chaotic right now and I keep making fun of Liev because he keeps walking around going, ‘No more babies, no more babies,’ like Rain Man or something. We’ve definitely got our hands full right now.”

Like many working moms, Naomi said she feels the guilt of being pulled in all directions.

“And what’s hard is — and I think every woman must feel this – you just feel guilty…guilty that you’re not there for the babies enough. And you also feel guilty that you haven’t given your work as much time as you normally do,” she admits.

“I have slowed down. Pregnancy and babies tend to do that. The International is the only film I have done since being a mom.

“Once I met Liev I felt I wanted more time to myself and for us to spend time together and then the pregnancy and the baby. Then last year he was shooting in Australia and I like to be there, and then I got pregnant again. So that’s kind of how things have gone, but now I do feel like I want to work this year.”

When she returns to work, she knows her boys will have the very best care from their “fantastic father.” She says Liev is “incredibly hands-on dad,” who is “adored” by his eldest son Alexander. “In fact, when I’m in the room it’s like I don’t exist!

But it’s easy to see why the two-year-old favors his father.

“Daddy plays rough-house. I try to, but I’m just not as fun as daddy. But it’s not just the playtime stuff for Liev. It’s changing diapers, he does everything with me.”

Awww – it sounds like Naomi is one lucky lady!

He might play brooding leading men, but Liev Schreiber couldn’t be further away from his big screen characters. And it looks like 17-month-old Alexander, nicknamed Sasha, is responsible for releasing his lighter side.

Their favorite game sees Sasha hiding behind the arm of a couch. Of course Liev plays along and pretends he can’t see his son.

“I realize that there’s a kind of a divine Buddha truth in that,” Liev told Parada. “I should be doing more things where I’m pretending that I can’t see my son and making him laugh.

“That is for me is the brighter side of being a father, that there is something to be said for silliness. My son has given me that.”

Sasha and his four-week-old brother Samuel have also helped to change Liev’s outlook on his acting career. He admits that it was at one time “a compulsion,” but he’s curbed his workaholic ways.

“I think what I need to do is to stop and get some sense of perspective. It’s not good for me to work all the time.”

I’ll bet the boys, and their mom Naomi Watts, are happy about that!

Naomi Watts and Liev Schrieber have released more details about the newest member of their family!

The couple has called their newborn son Samuel Kai. I really like it! He weighed 7 lb. 13 oz. at birth.

If he’s anything like big brother Alexander, I’ll bet Samuel’s a real cutie!

It’s another boy for Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber. The couple’s second son was born on Saturday December 13 in New York City.

A rep for the couple confirmed the news, but stayed tight-lipped about the new arrival’s name.

Baby Schreiber joins 16-month-old big brother Alexander Pete.

Naomi Watts certainly isn’t letting pregnancy slow her down. She looked casually cool at last night’s New York premiere of, what else, Australia! I’ll bet she enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with her best friend Nicole Kidman!

Naomi Watts is famous for loathing the paparazzi, but she was all smiles when she spotted them yesterday. Pregnancy must be treating her well! Naomi braved the cold to do some shopping at Daffy’s and Whole Foods in New York before grabbing some coffes at Think Coffee.

Fresh from their weekend getaway in The Hamptons, Leiv Schreiber, mom-to-be Naomi Watts, and baby Alexander braved the cold for a walk around New York City yesterday. The couple expect their second baby this winter!
