Australia Stars Prepare for Family Time at Christmas
December 14, 2008 by lkatulka
After a whirlwind global publicity tour for their new film Australia, Aussie actors Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman are looking forward to some quiet time over Christmas with their families.
Nicole says her first Christmas with baby girl Sunday Rose will feature “a lot of hugs and kisses and Christmas carols.” She said her daughter “loves puppets,” so she’s bought her one which looks like a turtle!
Hugh Jackman, his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, and kids Oscar, 8, and Ava, 3, will be busy in New York City.
“I’ll be going to the Nutcracker, I’ll be going to Rockefeller Plaza, I’ll be going to the Rockettes, maybe catch a Knicks game or two,” he told People.
Nicole Kidman Says It’s Strange to Have Teens
Nicole Kidman’s spent plenty of time gushing about newborn baby Sunday Rose, but don’t think she’s forgotten her other children. She says her adopted kids Isabella and Connor Cruise have given her a sneak peek at what’s to come.
“It’s strange, but in a great way, to have teenagers,” she told the Calgary Herald. “For a period of time it’s secretive and then it’s not.”
Nicole also notes that her children help her stay cool!
“They keep me informed about things I would not know about otherwise, [like] music and things in culture and, well, Bella and Keith really like the same music, which is interesting to me.”
Nicole Kidman Says She’s Not Pregnant
November 22, 2008 by lkatulka
Nicole Kidman might be ready to expand her family, but she’s not pregnant yet!
The 41-year-old actress has denied the rumors, adding that she simply has “a little tummy,” just like the other women in her family!
“I think I’ve always had a little tummy, though, it runs in the family. My sister does, my mum does, my grandmother did … we affectionately refer to it as the ‘little tummy,’” Nicole explained.
“My god, I just had a baby four months ago - give me a break!”
For now Nicole is focusing all her energy on daughter Sunday Rose who has “just discovered her voice.”"She was singing up a storm this morning. She’s high and low. Other people may call it screaming - but not to me!”

Nicole Kidman Gushes About Sunday Rose
October 31, 2008 by lkatulka
In the newest issue of Parade magazine, to hit stores on Sunday, Nicole Kidman has talked about her greatest
accomplishment: motherhood.
Photos of her newborn daughter Sunday Rose have been few and far between because Nicole wants to protect her from the media circus, even if it’s sometimes hard!
“People say, ‘Oh, it would be so much easier if you’d just let them get a photo of her.’ And I can’t. I’m like, ‘I don’t want to. I want her to stay out of that.’ Maybe that will wane as she gets bigger, and I’ll be easier with it. But for now, I’m still keeping her in a bubble.”
We might not get to see her very often, but Nicole tells us that Sunday Rose looks a lot like her daddy, country star Keith Urban.
“I’m glad, because when he goes on tour, I say to him that he leaves a little bit of him with me.”
The Australian actress never imagined she’d get to experience giving birth to her own child, and it’s a thought that still moves her.
“I’m raw and emotional,” Kidman admits. “I cry even thinking of her. But they are tears of joy. Because I suppose I never thought I would get to have it. To have been given it so late in life - I’m so ready for it. And I think giving birth to a child, as a woman, is what we’re born to do. I don’t mean that to sound sexist, because many women don’t get to do it, and I thought I was one of them. But at the same time, if you are given that gift, it’s an extraordinary thing.”
Not that Nicole’s forgetting about her adoptive children Bella and Connor! In some ways she feels that parenting them has prepared her for raising her new baby.
“Bella and Connor are 15 and 13, so we’ve taken them, Tom and I, almost into their adult life. To then have a birth child that I have to take into adult life, give her her wings, it’s a big purpose. I know my place. Put it that way.”

Celebrity Moms Talk About New Babies at Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute
October 8, 2008 by lkatulka
Some of our favorite celebrity moms got a night off at Monday night’s 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute.
Jennifer Lopez was missing her babies Max David and Emme Maribel who were close by when she was preparing for the glamorous event.
“I keep putting them on my lap and the makeup artist is like ‘Um, can you move her?’ And I’m like ‘No! And you know what? I have to have two babies on my lap!’”
Jennifer insists holding her bubs is just “part of being a mom,” and refused to budge on the issue. Now that’s what I like to hear!
Nicole Kidman said her husband Keith Urban and adopted daughter Isabella were at home with baby Sunday Rose so she could attend the event. But she doesn’t like her newborn daughter to be out of her sight for too long!
“I have to have her with me. Being a mom is the norm. So many women … have their toe at least in the workforce and they still want to have families. That’s me too.”
Halle Berry admitted she’s “making a lot of mistakes right now” with seven-month-old Nahla Ariela, but she’s not worried because she knows she’s still new at this.
“Many women have done it before me, so it’s doable,” she said philosophically.
After such an exciting baby boom, I love seeing how all these awesome women are coping with motherhood!
Sunday Rose and Tennyson Crowe Engaged!
September 28, 2008 by lkatulka

Could love be in the air for Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Tennyson Crowe? Sure Sunday’s just 12 weeks old and Tennyson’s only two, but their parents are already matchmaking!
“Nicole had one look at my younger son Tennyson and looked up at me and said ‘I’m a great believer in arranged marriages,’” Russell Crowe told The Sunday Telegraph.
He added that Tennyson and Sunday share the same birthday, so perhaps it’s in the stars!
“I believe she made the connection between Sunday and Tennyson now - so Tennyson is already engaged.”
The tot could certainly do worse than Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s bub, who Russell says is “a beautiful child with beutiful, delicate features.”
That’d be some Aussie power couple!

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Take Sunday Down Under
August 7, 2008 by lkatulka
Nicole Kidman has pleaded for privacy on her first visit to Sydney since giving birth last month. Nic touched down in Sydney last night with husband Keith Urban and newborn daughter Sunday Rose.
“Keith and I are both appealing to the press and stuff just to give us a little space so we can walk around Sydney and show the baby our town,” Nicole said in a radio interview this morning.
“She’s tiny. She’s like a doll, she’s like a little, little thing. Just [don't photograph] right in her face or in our faces because it’s scary for her.”
“I get it. I get the interest there is,” added daddy Keith Urban. “But at the same time it’s our little girl. Sometimes when people come right up in your face and you think: ‘Good God, would you do that to anybody else’s child?’ That’s all.”
We’re all desperate for a photo of little Sunday so we can see her for ourselves, but her proud parents have revealed a few details about her appearance.
Nicole said her daughter looks just like her father, with a “bit of a reddish tint” to her hair. How cute!
Keith also said being a dad was an “awesome” feeling.
“Anybody out there who’s got kids [knows] it’s just a certain kind of feeling that you can only experience when you do it,” he said. “I’m not looking forward to having to go on tour and having to leave.”
Nicole also gave a little insight into her labor, adding that the presence of family made her delivery a little easier.
“They say a lot of it has to do with how your sister and your mother gave birth, so luckily my sister’s had four children … and that was pretty easy for her too,” she said.
“My mum was a nurse too and also she’s a midwife so we were surrounded … but we also had wonderful nurses at the hospital.”
Nicole and Keith will spend their time in Australia with family, although it’s not just a pleasure trip. Nic will soon be back on set to shoot the final scenes for her upcoming movie Australia.
