Ellen and Portia Are Tops for Moms

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are the stars most American moms would feel comfortable leaving their kids with! The lesbian couple, who married last August, took 31% of the votes in the ParentDish.com poll.
The couple edged out Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Perhaps people were worried they’d be too busy with their own brood of six!
On the other end of the scale, Courtney Love was voted worst celebrity mom. Gee, after all those stints in rehab and general weirdness I wonder why?

Portia de Rossi Denies IVF Rumors
March 17, 2009 by lkatulka

Portia de Rossi has put paid to those pregnancy rumors, telling the LA Times that while motherhood would be “amazing and exciting and wonderful,” it’s something she and wife Ellen DeGeneres “definitely” won’t experience “in the near future.”
“It isn’t really something that’s on the immediate horizon for us.”
Portia adds that she has no idea how rumors surfaced that she was undergoing IVF, but that she doesn’t really mind the talk!
“It’s great that Ellen and I are a gay couple and people are open-minded enough to talk about us having a family,” Portia explained.
“I feel like we kind of get all the same stuff that any heterosexual couple would get in the public eye. And that is great, that is wonderful - including the baby bump.”
But Portia draws the line at those incriminating tabloid photos.
“I just don’t want those horrible pictures in magazines where they circle your stomach and point and go ‘baby bump,’” she admits.

Ellen and Portia Consider Kids
August 24, 2008 by lkatulka
Since they tied the knot last weekend, everyone’s wondering whether Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi will have children. But the gorgeous actresses aren’t sure whether they’re ready to give up their freedom!
“We go back and forth,” Portia told People magazine. “I don’t know if it’s in our immediate future. It’s something we talk about every few months.”
“It’s something we would never take lightly and just say, ‘That would be fun.’ It’s a lot of work and we recognize that,” Ellen added. “In a way, we want to be selfish because we love our life, but we know how much [having children] adds to it. If they would be as pretty as Brad and Angelina’s kids, we might!”
