Elisabeth Hasselbeck Talks Pregnancy
July 1, 2009 by lkatulka

Pregnancy was the last thing on Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s mind when she discovered she was expecting baby number three. When she learned the real reason for her fatigue two months into the pregnancy, The View co-host was certainly surprised!
“It was shocking, but a good shock,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Certainly, you can only plan so much in life.”
But it’s no surprise the mom to four-year-old Grace and 19-month-old Taylor didn’t notice. With too little ones, she rarely has time to think of herself!
“‘Oh you’re pregnant and isn’t this special’ — that all happens with pregnancy number one. After that you’re too busy, you don’t even realize you’re actually pregnant,” she joked. “It’s not as, shall I say, pampered the third time around.”
While she may not receive much pampering these days, Elisabeth is indulging … in junk food!
“I did the cha cha cha diet: chips, chocolate, and cheese straight through, that works for me!” she revealed. She knows that diet leads to a lot of extra weight, but as she always does she knows she’ll work hard to lose those pounds after the birth.
“People ask me, ‘How did you lose the weight?’” she shared, remembering the reception to her rapid weight loss after the last pregnancy.
“I did not lose the weight. I know exactly where every pound is in Central Park that I ran off. I can point to a staircase and say, ‘I ran those thirty times … flight after flight.’ They’re not lost, they’re still waiting for me to find them one day, I’m sure.”
With her husband Tim working for ESPN as an analyst, Elisabeth is calling in reinforcements for the baby’s arrival, scheduled for August 11.
“I’ve already booked out our moms for August. ‘Hey Mom, you’re coming here [and] Betsy, you’re coming on August whatever,” she said. “I have the moms on call because I honestly could not get through that period after [the baby arrives]. It’s hard for me after. I wish it were easy, I’d have 12!”
Even with the help of doting grandmothers and the support of Tim, who she calls an “incredible husband, father, and best friend,” the soon to be mom-of-three frequently gets the guilts about juggling motherhood and a career.
“I’m still always feeling guilty over something,” Elisabeth shared. “They always say there’s a ball up in the air. So, make sure that one’s not the kids. They’re my priority, they really are over everything.”
Fortunately Elisabeth’s brood is always welcome on set. Elisabeth says her co-hosts are “great with kids and my kids love them,” but their presence doesn’t always make things easy!
“Grace will walk into their offices, even with Barbara [Walters],” she laughed. “Barbara is on an important call with, like, Sadat. [Grace yells], ‘Barbara!’ and I’m like, ‘Grace! Come back! Maybe later…”
While we often have to wait for the birth announcements to hit the media, Elisabeth says her fans will probably know first, thanks to Twitter!
“I’ll be tweeting probably right through birth,” she giggled. “Tim asked me, ‘Are you going to tweet through birth?’ I might let people know what’s going on … my screams for help should be heard across the globe!”

Pregnant Heidi Klum Feels Like Buddha!
June 10, 2009 by lkatulka
The best thing about pregnancy number four, according to Heidi Klum, is the degree of familiarity.
“Certain things you get used to,” the supermodel toldUs Weekly. “You get used to all the changes of your body. It’s not like I’m going, ‘Oh my God!’ I’m used to that part of it.”
But all those pregnancy changes are less familiar to Heidi’s children, five-year-old daughter Leni and sons Henry, 3, and Johan, 2. the trio are so fascinated by her bump, she often feels “like a Buddha.”
“If I had a dress on, Leni would literally go all the way down under my dress to rub my tummy. And I go, ‘My underwear is showing, thank you very much!’”
Heidi says she’s “not worried” about losing the baby weight, adding “I know my body will go back again.”
Heidi and Seal expect a daughter in October.

Ana Ortiz Anticipates New Chapter
May 22, 2009 by lkatulka
With daughter-on-the-way due in July, Ana Ortiz is on the home stretch of her first pregnancy. She says she’s relying heavily on her support system of husband Noah Lebenzon and her mother. Ana says that sharing the experience with her mom has made the pair closer than ever.
“There’s somebody that I can go to and say, ‘Is this normal? Does this happen?’” she says of the proud soon-to-be grandmother. “We’re on this plateau with one another and it’s just incredible.”
Noah might not have the experience of Mrs Ortiz, but he is always available for late night ice-cream runs!
“Most, most, most of all, my husband has been incredibly supportive,” she told Us Weekly, adding that “there’s no one I would rather be going through this with.”
Ana’s enjoyed her pregnancy, but her favorite part is watching her husband marvel at her moving belly.
“I love seeing my husband’s face every time [he] watches my stomach move,” she laughed. “You can see movement, it’s crazy!”
Right now Ana’s looking forward to the time ahead, especially “seeing what this person looks like, what kind of personality she’ll have. I’m just looking forward to this whole new chapter of life.”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s No Pregnant Goddess
May 5, 2009 by lkatulka
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is finding pregnancy’s a little different the third time around.
“The first time around, you’re a pregnant goddess and you’re like, ‘This is my child,’ and everyone is running around giving you water,” she said.
“By the third time around, you’re just lucky to have a prenatal pill by the end of the day.”
Elisabeth jokes that she’s “not paying attention” to her pregnancy, and it seems her children Grace, 4, and Taylor, 17 months feel the same way!
“I’m just really celebrating them together and having them talk to one another and letting them really enjoy this time as brother and sister. Then I’ll throw in the word baby once in awhile to remind them.”
Elisabeth and her husband Tim are anticipating another delivery surprise in August.
“I don’t want to find out,” Elisabeth explains. “I like the surprise. It’ll get me through the delivery.”
You’ve got to have something to help I suppose!

Is Toni Collette Pregnant?
May 1, 2009 by lkatulka

A curvier than usual Toni Collette sparked pregnancy rumors when she walked the red carpet in Spain this week. Toni was in Madrid to promote the Spanish premiere of The United States of Tara.
Toni was all covered up in a black belted jacket, one of those outfits that always gets folks talking.
But if Toni was to announce a pregnancy it probably wouldn’t come as any great surprise. Toni and her husband Dave Galafassi have a one-year-old daughter Sage, and they’ve made no secret of wanting to extend the family.
Hopefully congratulations are in order!

Jill Scott’s Pregnancy Body “Divine”
March 24, 2009 by lkatulka

Jill Scott’s not letting pregnancy slow her down. The expectant mom is currently working on a new album called Ballads and Lullabies, but she’s having a hard time recording it!
“I have a little boy who sits right under my lungs,” she said. I suppose that would make singing difficult!
In the meantime she is singing to her baby to combat it’s natural changes.
“Being pregnant moves your organs out of the way and you lose lung capacity. It’s so cool how all this stuff changes your body - it’s divine!”
The singer and actress said this year has brought her “extreme joy and extreme sadness,” adding that “it’s been wonderful.”
During her first trimester Jill took part in HBO’s No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, an experience which taught her a lot about herself. But now the 36-year-old is looking forward to the next stage of her life.
“Here comes somebody that I get to raise and enjoy and teach. I get the pleasure of seeing everything new again. The sky is new, the clouds, the park, dogs are new. And my baby will be new. I am thrilled.”
Jill’s baby boy is due to arrive on April 25. He will be the first child for Jill and her fiancé, drummer Lil’ John Roberts. No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency will premiere on March 29 at 8 pm on HBO.

Gerard Way “Very Excited” About Fatherhood
February 8, 2009 by lkatulka
My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is remaining tight-lipped about his wife Lindsey “Lyn-Z” Ballato’s pregnancy. He told Kerrang! that it’s “not because it’s so personal that I’m not gonna comment upon it.” Instead, the dad-to-be just isn’t quite sure what to say! He added that he’s “very excited” about impending fatherhood, but that he doesn’t “know how to begin to even start talking about something like that!”
The rocker admitted that the pregnancy came out of the blue, adding that the couple hadn’t “ever thought about having a kid … but then I also didn’t expect to meet Lindsey, and when I met her I knew she’d be the one person I could have a kid with.”
This will be the couple’s first child and the first baby My Chemical Romance baby!
“It wasn’t like it was as big a deal to people as I thought it might have been: like when I told Ray [Toro, My Chemical Romance guitarist] and told the guys everyone was really psyched but it wasn’t like, ‘Oh my God!’ Everyone was just really genuinely excited for us. It’s totally crazy to be the first one in the band [to become a father].”
Gerard and Lindsay don’t know the baby’s gender, “but we know the baby is healthy and it’s growing great.” And really, that’s all that matters!

Pregnancy Inspires Jill Scott
After struggling with fertility issues, soul singer Jill Scott had given up hope that she’d ever be a mother. But it seems miracles do happen, because she’s expecting a son on April 25.
“It’s so hard to believe, it’s hard to have faith, especially when things aren’t working out,” she admits. “It’s difficult and a challenge when you continuously ask for what you want and need in your life or at least what you think you want and need in your life, but that’s when you have to believe and have faith the most. We didn’t plan for this, but God obviously had other plans.”
Jill’s not experiencing any cravings. In fact, it’s quite the opposite!
“I don’t want anything. I’m having a hard time building an appetite … I have to force myself to eat.”
And she’s doing just that, aware that this new life inside her needs her to be responsible.
“For so long I’ve been able to be carefree — frolicking in my life. I didn’t have to be responsible for anyone else but myself, my mother and my grandmother,” she says. “I’ve been free to do what I want, when I want. Now I have to watch what I eat, how I eat, make sure I get enough rest. Before I was just running and now, I’m so much more responsible and thoughtful and that’s a good thing.”
Jill says her fiancé Lil Jon Roberts is looking forward to starting a family,” but they’re not sure when marriage will be part of the equation. In her trademark relaxed style, Jill’s just happy to take life as it comes.
“It’s funny because I remember one day I was feeling a little down and I said to my girlfriend, ‘I guess I’ve missed my opportunity to be a mom,’ and she responded, ‘No, you just haven’t met the right man yet.’ I’ve always believed that everything on this earth has a rightful key that fits and he was mine.”
Fans of Jill’s music will be thrilled to know her pregnancy has inspired a little creativity.
“I’ve been writing,” she shares. “A lot of things are on my mind…As a woman, I hear better, I smell better, my taste buds are different and I feel so much more like a sexual being than I ever have.
“I’ve learned a lot about men and mothers. I’ve never appreciated mothers this much, or even my mother, until now as I sit in a room with my grandmother, my mother and now my son. It’s truly amazing what’s happened to me and there’s a lot to say and I can’t wait to say it.”
I can’t wait to hear those new songs when the next album drops! But I’m sure we’ll have to wait a little while – Jill is bound to have her hands full with the little one in the near future!

Erinn Hayes is Pregnant
January 7, 2009 by lkatulka
Just like her character on Worst Week, Erinn Hayes is pregnant!
In fact, Erinn says she planned the pregnancy to coincide with her character Melanie Clayton’s.
“I’m nothing if not an opportunist,” joked Erinn. “It’s a weird thing. You have to plan your life like you’re going to be on five years even if you know you could get cancelled anytime. My character was always a bit ahead of me. The first three months of my pregnancy were the first three months filming; it was really tough. I was exhausted just being pregnant, taking naps whenever I could.”
Erinn is due in May, and if the program is renewed for a second season she’ll be back at work in August.
“The timing couldn’t be more perfect,” she said. “We’re on hiatus now. If we get picked up [again], I can have a few months with the baby [before going back to work].”
Like her one-year-old daughter Maggie, Erinn plans to take the new arrival with her to work.
“She loves coming to set and playing with the make-up brushes and everything. It’s a great atmosphere.”
Hopefully baby number two will be just as easy-going!

Angie Harmon Suffers Through Pregnancy Number 3
December 14, 2008 by lkatulka
They say third time lucky, but that hasn’t been the case for Angie Harmon. Her previous pregnancies have been “super easy,” but this time around Angie’s suffered severe morning sickness and a torn disc!
Thank goodness Angie has a wonderful husband in Jason Sehorn who stepped up to look after their children, five-year-old Finley and three-year-old Grace. Angie said Jason quickly adjusted to “taking care of the kids and getting them to school and doing the lunches and cooking dinner.”
Angie said that through the ordeal she’s been “this wretched thing in the bedroom that can’t come downstairs,” while Jason has become known as “the greatest husband on the planet.”
With the end of Angie’s pregnancy approaching, she says she’s completely prepared. Now she knows the sex of the baby she’s pored through books to ensure her unique name hasn’t been taken!
“I look through the baby-name books to make sure the name I’m picking is not in there. I just don’t want everyone to have it!”
I don’t know about you, but I always worry when celebs aim for a unique name. Fingers crossed this poor kid doesn’t end up with something awful!
