If you thought Charlotte Church fell pregnant quickly after having nine-month-old daughter Ruby, you’d be right. But Charlotte says it was no accident. In fact, she’s right on schedule.
Charlotte says she hopes to have six children, while partner Gavin Henson wants eight. No matter how many they settle on, Charlotte hopes to have them all in the next ten years.
“I want all my babies by the time I’m 32 so then I can have everything done. We want to have our babies young and then I’m going to get married and look fabulous for that!” the Welsh singer told British radio host Jonathan Ross.
It’s not easy raising a young family, but Charlotte said her rugby playing partner helps make it a lot simpler.
“Gavin helps with everything. Even when I was breastfeeding in the night, he’d get up to be supportive because I was knackered.”
Charlotte and Gavin expect their second child in November.

Charlotte Church has enjoyed nursing her eight-month-old daughter Ruby Megan, and she’s encouraging other young moms to do the same. Recent statistics show only 42% of Welsh mothers under 20 attempt to breastfeed their babies, and 22-year-old Charlotte will work with Welsh government to try to reverse this trend.
“It was really reassuring knowing that Ruby had extra protection from chest, ear and stomach infections, as well as from diabetes and allergies,” she explained.
“On top of that, breastfeeding is free and really convenient - especially in the middle of the night! Feeding Ruby myself has been such a positive experience and I would definitely recommend to other mums that they try it.
“I don’t know why so few young mums choose to breastfeed, but I think there are a lot of myths out there. It’s important they hear from real mums like me and have all the information they need to make their minds up.”
I’ve got to say, those stats astound me. I know some women have problems breastfeeding, but to have more than half the young moms in Wales opting to bottle feed amazes me. I’m not sure whether celebrity endorsements will change these girls’ minds, but it can’t hurt!

She’s helped raised funds for the Children Hospital of Wales for years, but Charlotte Church’s charity work has taken on new meaning now she’s a mom herself.
“It’s amazing to see how the parents cope. When you have a child of your own it makes it so much closer to home,” she told The UK Press Association.
The Welsh singer gave birth to her first child, Ruby Megan, six months ago. She gushed that motherhood has “completely changed” her, but added it was “all in completely positive ways.
“There’s not one negative. She’s been the most well-behaved baby.”
