The first day of school is always an important time for any proud parents, and Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer are no exceptions. Russell Crowe took his trusty camcorder as he sent his five-year-old son Charlie Crowe to kindergarten.

Charlie will attend a school in Double Bay, a suburb of Sydney. Does he look cute in his uniform and wide brimmed hat? I wonder whether this means Russell will spend more time in his native Australia and less time in Hollywood!

Russell Crowe had his hands full in Beverly Hills yesterday. His sons Charles and Tennyson may be gettng big, but they can still count on their dad when their legs get tired!

Tennyson Crowe enjoyed a ride on the shoulders of his famous father Russell Crowe as they left the set of State of Play yesterday. Then he stopped to give his big boy Charlie a kiss. I love photos of Russell with his kids. They always remind us there’s a softer side to this Aussie tough guy!

Russell Crowe’s sons Charlie and Tennyson might be just two years apart, but they couldn’t be more different.

During a recent interview on Live with Regis and Kelly, Russell said that four-year-old Charlie is a “deep thinker” who loves puzzles and books, just like his mom Danielle Spencer.

Two-year-old Tennyson takes after his dad however, enjoying sports and “anything with wheels.”

“When football is on, he actually gives me a little sparkly-eyed look,” Russell explained. “He’s connecting with that … There’s something about sport and active things that are really attractive to him. [The boys] are absolutely different.”

They’re both cutie-pies though!

Could love be in the air for Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Tennyson Crowe? Sure Sunday’s just 12 weeks old and Tennyson’s only two, but their parents are already matchmaking!

“Nicole had one look at my younger son Tennyson and looked up at me and said ‘I’m a great believer in arranged marriages,’” Russell Crowe told The Sunday Telegraph.

He added that Tennyson and Sunday share the same birthday, so perhaps it’s in the stars!

“I believe she made the connection between Sunday and Tennyson now - so Tennyson is already engaged.”

The tot could certainly do worse than Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s bub, who Russell says is “a beautiful child with beutiful, delicate features.”

That’d be some Aussie power couple!

Russell Crowe bent down for a heart-to-heart chat with his four-year-old son Charlie on Tuesday. They were snapped out and about in Wooloomooloo.

Russell Crowe is one devoted daddy. Whenever we see him lately he always seems to have Charlie and Tennyson close by which is pretty awesome, not to mention a rarity in Hollywood!

Russell looks a bit tired, but I think I would be too! Tennyson’s probably pretty heavy!

Russell Crowe treated his boys Charlie and Tennyson to a trip to Tom’s Toy store in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. They emerged with a great big bag of goodies. Lucky things!
