We all know the pressures girls face in today’s body-image obsessed society. But British actress Tina Hobley is determined her newborn bub Olivia Kitty and eight-year-old Isabella won’t suffer from low self esteem.

She revealed to The Mirror that “the word diet is banned” from the home she shares with husband Oliver Wheeler.

“My daughter is only eight, but she and all her mates know about fat content on food labels. It is petrifying. It’s no surprise so many children are developing eating disorders,” she explained.

Wow, that is scary! It’s so wonderful that Tina is conscious of the pressure girls face, and is doing her best to encourage her daughters to love themselves.

Denise Richards Promotes Healthy Body Image

It seems Hollywood is obsessed with weight, but it’s an attitude that Denise Richards will never bring home. The gorgeous star told Shape magazine she wants her daughters Sam and Lola to grow up with a positive body image.

“I’ll never talk about weight around them,” she said. “And they’ll never hear me say, ‘Mommy’s feeling fat today.’ That kind of attitude just makes young girls grow up to be dissatisfied with their bodies.”

Instead of obsessing about a few extra pounds Denise models positive behavior like good nutrition and exercise.

“I exercise almost every day. The girls usually play in the workout room with me, so they’re learning by example.”

It’s so refreshing to hear a star with such a healthy attitude to their body. I’m sure her girls will benefit from such a positive upbringing!
