Being a Father Tony Hawk’s Greatest Achievement
October 21, 2008 by lkatulka
Pro skateboarder Tony Hawk knows all about success, but his titles and accolades aren’t what he’s most proud of. His greatest success is much simpler: he’s a good father to Hudson Riley, Spencer, Keegan, and little Kadence Clover.
“Being emotionally supportive to my children is most important to me,” Tony told Success Magazine.
To that end, Tony always put family first even if it means he misses out on some career opportunities.
“It’s not just the time together, but the way we spend that time. Sometimes, I have to say no to a good project because I value my time with my family very much.”
But he admits it’s not all smooth sailing. Right now he’s feeling a little nervous about being father to a girl!
“With three sons, I know what they like and how to make them laugh.”
He may feel a little clueless about raising a daughter, but Tony says he is “actually looking forward to hosting a tea party” with Kadence.
“Hey, I like tea, so it shouldn’t be hard, right?”
